'The Timeless Void' is a 26-page anthology of the poems I've written over the years throughout my journey towards healing from loving someone. It consists of 25 poems and a personal essay I've written in the said period. 

Unrequited love is chaotic. Mostly, it's shame. How do we admit to the world that we weren't good enough to be loved in return? I had so many doubts when I first had the idea of compiling my poems and publishing them. As if miserably failing at love wasn't painful enough, I had to publish them for the whole world to see my failure.

But as someone who wrote pieces on why we need to be more vulnerable, my reasons to not put my work out into the world labelled me a hypocrite. Why are we so afraid of having our scars exposed? Why are we so afraid of admitting our pain? What are we actually gaining from putting on a strong facade to the world outside pretending to be people we are not?

I am someone who had her heart broken in spectacular ways multiple times. I have been constantly battling with the question of 'am I ever enough?'. I have been through traumatizing periods in my life that I would not wish upon even my enemy. But I am also the person who survived it all. I am also the person who is consciously trying to heal from the hurt I have suffered. I am also someone who is not going to be afraid to be vulnerable.

This anthology is a statement. "So, be brutally honest, be true of all that you are", I wrote once. This is me being true of all that I am. I hope that my words would help you seek solace in poetry. I hope that you feel understood. I hope you feel that you are not alone in this world, at least when it comes to heartbreaks from loving someone unrequitedly.
